An audio speaker system designed for Motore Immobile, the electronic music performance that brings to life a work by Giusto Pio produced by Franco Battiato in the late 1970s. The soundscape Cosmos created for the concert draws inspiration from the Cenotaph for Newton: it’s an utopian project by Étienne-Louis Boullée (1784) that depicts the celestial sphere with constellations embedded within it. The object’s distinctive feature is the circle. The burl wood finish creates a pattern on the main surface, as if it were stars. Cylindrical brass feet complete the design.
