Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como, A Radisson Collection Hotel is situated in the historic centre of Como, just a short walk from the lakeside promenade. The interior design project encompasses 70 rooms, a bistrot on the ground floor and a wellness area. The building dates back to 1873 and, in 2026 – a century after it first opened as a hotel – the restored and reimagined building will once again become a place of hospitality.
The inspiration and stylistic signature of the interior design for the guest rooms and communal spaces draw on Como itself: its rich history, architecture, textile tradition and mercantile past are reimagined through a modern and cohesive language of forms, materials and colours. The use of the folding screen: it symbolises a form of hospitality that seeks to protect the guest’s privacy without ever isolating them; the colour palette: inspired by the lake and the green of its waters, it is combined with warm materials and soft fabrics; the wooden details: these evoke the architecture and furnishings of the early 20th century.
