Fine Comune
Como - 2026
Temporary
creative direction / exhibition design
The project, developed within the former church of Santa Caterina in Como, is part of Lake Como Design Festival 2026. Built around the concept of ‘boundary’, Fine Comune explores the extent to which a boundary can represent a point of interaction rather than division. The exhibition explores the idea of boundaries and sharing, featuring the artist Luca Monterastelli and his monochromatic works, Free System upholstered sofa system (designed by Claudio Salocchi) by Acerbis, collectible design pieces from Movimento Gallery and handcrafted rugs by cc-tapis. The boundary between a former place of worship and a modern meeting place; between walls imbued with spirituality and objects of art and design with a soul waiting to be revealed; between the nomadic way of life that recreates welcoming spaces wherever it goes and the sedentary way that cements places and functions; between those seeking inspiration and those shaking new hands; between those who practise design every day and those still studying it at school.
